Wethersfield Academic Hall of Fame
September 27, 2014 is the date of the 2014 induction
The 2014 inductees were the following
*Dean Moss- Class of 1947: Wethersfield supporter for 80 plus years and President of the Wethersfield Alumni Association.
*Verna Marshall- Class of 1963: taught 3 generations of families for a total of 42 years on a Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona..
*Dr. Scott Pinter- Class of 1986: Surgeon of Opthalmology and a partner with Eye Surgical Associates
*Angela Bartman Moore- Class of 1987: M.S in Clinical Psychology and Director of Corporate Compliance and Risk Management for over 45 clinics.
*Christina Hepner VanDeVelde- Class of 1998: M.S. in Project Management, Director of Interior Design Department with Farnsworth Group, International Author, and Board Member for Center for Prevention of Abuse.
Iris Fuhr: Teacher for 42 years retiring from Wethersfield in 1986 and selected as Woman of the Year by Kewanee Business and Professional Women.
Ada Robbins- Taught elementary at Wethersfield for over 50 years beginning in 1911. Continued to substitute teach after her retirement.
---> Wethersfield is a grade Pre-K to 12 public school district with a student population of approximately 700 students. The town of Wethersfield was founded in 1836 by settlers from Wethersfield, Conneticut and will be celebrating its 150 year anniversary during the 2011-2012 school year. Although the town of Wethersfield merged with the town of Kewanee, Wethersfield Township and Wethersfield School District still remain and are a vital part of the City of Kewanee.
