Attention Families: Please donate any extra boxes you have to the Wethersfield Elementary school office for our librarian, Mrs. Anderson, to store books in over the summer as the library undergoes remodeling. Our goal is 100 boxes! Please only donate boxes that are clean, no food, and are not flat. Thank you in advance!
Freshman English has spent the last six weeks working on a writing unit in which they pick four topics and utilize different writing styles and techniques to create a book. They used their resources to research and locate a variety of writing styles that aligned with their chosen topics. Everything they’ve chosen for their project is uniquely them. This would make a great display for a graduation table for their senior year.
Fourth graders wrapped up their weather unit this week. They researched and watched weather forecasts. Then, in a group or with a partner, they gave a mock weather forecast!

Some of Wethersfield High School’s student journalists attended the Kewanee Voice one- year Anniversary party held at The Elk’s Club. Susan DeVilder, director of the Kewanee Voice, was impressed with articles and pictures submitted throughout the year. Just a few highlights: Addison Looney won a contest through the journalism program with her article covering the history signed on the Blish building rafters. DeVilder was also impressed with Marlie Lindstrom’s action shots covering the sporting events. Great job students; keep up the good work! Pictured here are Joey Drawyer, Susan DeVilder, Ellie Merrick, and Addison Looney.

Our Spring HS Music concert was tonight and what a fantastic night of music it was! The entire performance was fabulous from beginning to end and nobody wanted it to end. Great job students and thank you Mr. Hagaman for a job very well done.
In Kindergarten, we are learning about conflict resolution and being kind to others. In the story, Hammerhead has a problem on the playground and needs to find out how to handle it. Kindergarten painted with bubbles while also practicing deep breathing. The students had to take big long breaths in their noses and out their mouths.
