As part of their study of the human brain, the students in psychology had to model and label the parts of the brain. Some students took the classical approach by drawing and coloring. Others used methods such as 3D printing or using modeling clay to complete the project.

Today, Mrs. DeKezel visited the junior high ELA classes and presented a social emotional learning (SEL) lesson about respect. Giving and receiving respect from others is important because it helps us to feel safe and to express ourselves. Mrs. DeKezel will be doing monthly lessons with the junior high students.

Parents, Wethersfield and Annawan School Districts were made aware of a post on the non-school affiliated football barstool page that contained a series of pictures. This post was in reference to tomorrow’s football game and that it is “almost Friday.” Among the pictures was an old picture of a student holding a gun. Because of the picture, the post was reported to the police, the student that made the post has been identified, the post has been removed, and it has been determined that it was not intended as a threat to either school. If you have children in your home that utilize social media, please take this as an opportunity to discuss with them what is appropriate and what is inappropriate to post on their platforms. Thank you. Dr. Brooks and Mr. Bryan
