
Tonight's LTC Tournament game for the Geese v. Stark County will be streaming on the Mercer County Junior High YouTube channel. The game is scheduled for 7:30. Go Geese!

7th grade completed a lesson on symmetry with a radial symmetry project. Students started with their names to create the patterns.


We will be conducting the Youth Basketball Camp for 1st through 4th Grades this Saturday (February 3rd) as a make up for the Saturday we missed earlier in January.
Times will remain the same for the age groups :)

Wethersfield Elementary's Book Blast event starts next week where we will set off in search of treasure to build our students' home libraries. Follow the steps on the Treasure Map coming home next week to embark on an epic quest to earn exciting prizes and books! All monies will go towards students getting new books for themselves and all additional monies will be used to improve our current Elementary Library book selection, new book displays, and modern furniture!




Last week in music class, kindergartners learned about penguins. They sang songs about penguins ice skating, so they decided to ice skate along with them while they sang their songs.


Wethersfield was well represented today at the Elementary All-State Choir Concert in Peoria. Congratulations to all of our students that were selected and thank you Mrs. Hagaman for all that you do to grow their love of music. Great job everyone!

Just a reminder...tonight's Boys Basketball games versus Mercer County in Aledo begin with the JV at 5:30 followed by Varsity.

K-Kids & Key Club have paired together for a fundraiser to raise money for the Martinez family. Elementary students were given forms today for "Have a Poppin' Day!" Let your friends know you are thinking about them with a $1 pop. Please fill out the tags that were sent home and send back with your money. Tags and money are due back by Monday, Feb. 5th. No late forms will be accepted. Pop cans will be delivered on Valentine's Day!

Junior Achievement kicked off in the junior high classrooms today. We are so appreciative to have community members volunteer their time in our school! Seventh graders will be learning about career clusters and job options, while eighth graders will be learning about career paths and soft skills!


Yesterday, second-graders in Mrs. Hagaman's Music class created their own 4 beat song! The students had a blast!


The Key Club officers ran the noon-time Kiwanis meeting yesterday. In addition to running the meeting, they also presented what the club has been doing this school year and talked about a couple of upcoming events, including this Friday’s blood drive.


Getting back into the swing of things, Sophomore English students started the class period with a group activity focusing on Lord of the Flies. Students were given 11 major events from Chapter 2 and an analysis for each event. They had to put the events in order and match the analysis to the event. Congrats to Jerry, Makenna, Kaden, and Ava for getting a perfect score!


Today, 7th grade students in Mr. Gripp's class participated in a scavenger hunt, which involved solving problems by simplifying expressions and combining like terms.


The WHS Key Club will be hosting a Blood Drive this Friday.


Allow for extra travel time this morning on your way to school. There are still many icy spots on the road.

There will be no FCA tomorrow morning.

Athletic Updates: 7th Grade Regional basketball will be played TOMORROW 1/24 in Brimfield. JH volleyball v. Cambridge has been rescheduled for 1/25 @ Wethersfield. HS Boys Basketball will travel to West Central with a 5:00 pm JV start time tonight.

There will be no JH volleyball game against Cambridge tonight due to the weather.
