Yesterday afternoon, students in the second grade presented Christmas Around the World to their peers, parents, grandparents and teachers. Students independently researched a country of their heritage to make this activity more meaningful. Students were then grouped together based on their heritage to compare their research and to decide what to put on their display boards. Finally, students presented what they learned about their country's Christmas traditions, as well as bringing in food that originated in their country. It was a wonderful event, and the students did a fantastic job!

After the Polar Express movie event, K-1 teachers created a variety of stations for their students to rotate through. Students partook in a fluffy "snowball" fight, made a hot chocolate mix for a snack, engaged in a stem activity using magna tiles and bells, and participated in a directed drawing of a train. Junior High Student Council members joined the activities to lend a helping hand!

Fa La La La La... The JH Choir visited Abilities Plus to share their gifts of singing and jingle bells! Students performed a variety of Christmas songs while audience members jingled the bells to go along with the carols. Mr. Hagaman also presented a memorial donation in honor of his dad to Abilities Plus.

Kindergarten through third grade students had a wonderful experience last Friday when they got to go to the Wanee Theater to watch the Polar Express. Students in kindergarten and in first grade were lucky enough to receive trip tickets and bells! "The bell still rings for those who truly believe."
