
To gain background knowledge on the 1950s, English 1 students completed a web quest using QR codes. They watched commercials, focused on American values, viewed artwork, and listened to 1950s music.


Students in Mrs.Townsend's elective class baked gingerbread men and decorated them. They also made air fryer Chex Mix. These are wonderful treats that they can make for their own family!

The K-5 Elementary Winter Concert has two performances today 12/14: 1:30pm this afternoon and 6:30pm tonight both in the Wethersfield High School gym.
Tonight, students need to meet in their classrooms by 6:10pm. They can enter through either the Main Elementary Doors or Main High School Doors. Students may be picked up by an adult from their teacher in their classroom once the performance is over.

The Freshman Boys Basketball team was victorious tonight in overtime over Fulton, 39-37. A great game to watch tonight!

Seventh graders in Mr. McGunnigal's Health class learned how to perform "Hands Only" CPR and how to use an AED in the event of a cardiac arrest episode.

Students in Mr. McGunnigal's Health class played Jeopardy today in preparation for an upcoming test. Did you know that using review games can spark creativity, boost engagement, and teach important executive function skills such as turn-taking?


"The joy of brightening other lives becomes for us the magic of the holidays." Students in the 6th grade made over 40 Christmas cards to send to St. Jude! What a wonderful way to spread holiday cheer!

English 1 students have been focusing on the Big Idea: Conflict is inevitable. They finished their unit with a 6 paragraph argumentative essay on The Unknown Citizen by W.H. Auden. Students focused on societal expectations and conformity within the Unknown Citizen’s society.


Ms. DeKezel talked with junior high students about how to be assertive. Respectfully, stating your opinion is an important skill.

The Geese Basketball team came off a week of practice and took it to Henry tonight, 83-59. Landon Sauer led all scorers with 29 points. Nearly every player scored tonight in a well-balanced attack and incredible shooting night. Back in action Tuesday at home v Brimfield

Students are getting into the holiday spirit at WES! Mrs.Martinez and Mrs.DeValkenaere combined their classes this morning to help make ornaments for the elementary Christmas tree.


Eighth graders in Mr. Alepra's Digital Literacy class used 3d printers to make book bag name tags.


In Mrs.Rashid's Biological Science Applications in Agriculture (BSAA)-Animals class, students got the opportunity to dissect a sheep's eye. This was a culminating activity that brought closure to the Nervous System Structures of Animals Unit. Did you know that the sheep's eye is very similar to the human eye? Students learned that the eye sends electromagnetic vibrations of light into patterns of nerve impulses that are transmitted to the brain from the optic nerve.
