
The excitement continues with a 5th Grade Boys' Flying Geese Basketball Camp. Cost is just $20 and will include a T-shirt. The High School Coaches have organized this opportunity and the High School Boys' and Girls' players will help during the camp. Forms will come home with your students. Deadline to submit is December 19th. GO Geese!


Tomorrow is the last day for the elementary students to order their candy canes. They need to return the order blank completed with their money. Jr. High and High school can still purchase them at lunch next week. All proceeds will go to Officer Woods.

Last Friday, Key Club members made Christmas cards for the local nursing homes. What a great way to spread the holiday spirit!

Fantastic ball game on Goose Island tonight! The Geese fell to a much taller Morrison team, 49-56 but the score doesn't completely show effort and heart! Rashid rose up and led the Geese with 15 points, Sauer had 14, Hornback 7 & Keane 6. Lots of fun when you play that hard!

Big win on Goose Island tonight. Your Lady Geese took down Monmouth -Roseville 50 to 39. The Lady Geese will be back in action on Saturday at the Amboy Shootout with a 4:30 tip against Newman Central Catholic.

Students in Mrs. Kegebein's Intro to Art class were working on creating value using charcoal. They practiced creating space by turning a circle into a sphere with the use of highlights and shadows.


PATT Freeze Dried Friday is back! Tomorrow, Friday December 1st


Fourth graders demonstrated the shifting of the tectonic plates and discussed how it changes the Earth’s surface/landforms.


Christian Jackson from Jackson & Peck Financial Group spoke to Mrs. Lay's class yesterday about "Financial Adulting" budgeting, saving and retirement investments such as a 401k and IRA.


Don't forget about our Holly Jolly Christmas Festival on Sunday from 3:00-5:00pm. This year is going to be our best year yet!


Sixth graders are beginning to discuss the different layers of Earth. Students discussed the names of the layers along with ways to help remember them. They also researched the thickness of each layer. This “Edible Layers of the Earth” Lab involved using Peanut M&M’s to analyze similarities and differences.


Zeb Rashid was recognized this past weekend for being named to the IHSFCA 1A All State Team. Great job Zeb!!!


Students in Mrs. Frank's English 2 class completed character maps for their midterm on To Kill A Mockingbird. They had to include symbols, character traits, and text-based evidence as part of the final design.


WES Families: As the weather continues to grow colder, please send your student with appropriate clothing to keep warm outside. Students will need boots and snow pants in order to play on the snow areas at recess. For misplaced items, students should stop by the Elementary Office or check the Lost and Found.
