Wethersfield School District

Yesterday, 24 Wethersfield Driver's Education students attended the Henry County Farm Bureau's Share the Road event in Cambridge. Students learned the importance of safely sharing the road with farm equipment, spoke with Henry County Sheriff's Deputies about rural road safety, and experienced the Illinois State Police Seat Belt Convincer, which simulates the impact of a 5 MPH crash. The event also included hands-on experiences like driving a tractor, important discussions about mental health and driving, and railroad safety reminders with the See Tracks, Think Train campaign. It was a highly valuable morning that reinforced many of the safety lessons already taught in the WHS Driver's Education curriculum.

There is no specific sign-up time. The district will earn $30 for every driver! Ford has also partnered with Habitat for Humanity and for every driver, they will donate an additional $10 to the organization!

Mandatory Parent Meeting for Lady Geese JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS' BASKETBALL at 5:00 pm in the Junior High Gym tonight (Monday 9/22). The meeting will take place following practice tonight with the student-athletes in attendance as well.

The book fair is running from Oct. 6th -Oct. 10th. It will be open to the Public from 3:00-3:30 Monday -Thursday. It will be open all school day on Oct. 10 for Grandparents' Day. You can also access the link on the School's Web Page in the ELC section.

We are so proud of our Lady Titans with their remarkable season and 4th Place finish at the IESA Softball State Tournament!! Like Coach Manuel said, it wasn't what we all wanted but these tough moments will build character. And we will BE BACK!! You have started something strong girls!! State semi-final games have just resumed. AW Lady Titans will face the loser of Metamora-Hardin Calhoun.

The IESA State Softball Finals are currently in a weather delay. Second semi-final games are currently delayed. Our AW Titan girls are still waiting to see who they will play. Stay tuned for updates from Normal.

AW Lady Titans Softball will be playing the 2:00 pm Third Place game after a defeat at the hands of Westville this morning 10-1. Finish strong ladies!! You have made us all very proud!
